Module learning outcomes
Explain the basic mechanisms and processes of animal development in invertebrate, vertebrate and human systems, through the integration of molecular, genetic, biochemical, cellular and evolutionary concepts and data.
Critically evaluate and interpret scientific data in order to identify the key problems, findings and implications.
Evaluate the main experimental approaches and methodologies used in the field of developmental biology and be able to apply these logically to generate experimental strategies aimed at testing hypotheses within the field.
Understand how disruptions to developmental processes can impact human health, including infertility and birth defects.
