Mental health influences our everyday behaviour and interactions with others.
On this module, you’ll explore how mental health issues and psychopathology impact people throughout their lives. You’ll learn how psychologists make diagnoses and use theory to guide treatment.
We’ll cover:
- anxiety
- depression
- dementia
- today’s evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

- Show appreciation of the psychology study of mental illness
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current approaches to diagnosing and treating mental illness
