Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll explore international and comparative aspects of regulation impacting the creative industries.
You’ll look at:
- the scope and economic contribution of these industries, especially in terms of GDP and employment
- the key regulatory instruments affecting the creation, commercialisation and consumption of creative outputs with a focus on:
- intellectual property rights
- contract law
- competition regulations
- employment laws.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 30 hours of contact time and about 270 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
