MSc Individual Project (954G5JN)

60 credits, Level 7 (Masters)

Spring teaching

The Individual Project gives you the opportunity to study an area in depth. This can be something you’ve already explored in an earlier module, or an individual line of study that interests you and fits your degree course.

You’ll build a substantial system under the supervision of experienced faculty. This will be on a research topic of your choice. It may involve:

  • a substantial working computer program

  • a theoretical study

  • a dissertation showing full understanding of the issues

  • a critical awareness of current knowledge in the area.

The project is designed to encourage creative thinking. It also exposes you to:

  • project management

  • documentation

  • communication.

You’ll be expected to show initiative and take personal responsibility while working on the project.
