Methods and Approaches in Human Geography (L7023)

Autumn teaching

In this module, you’ll gain the key skills you need for your final‑year thesis in human geography. You’ll study quantitative and qualitative methods, and explore how researchers use them in different areas of the discipline. You’ll also receive guidance on how to prepare your thesis proposal.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 40 hours of contact time and about 110 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
